Policies and Warranty
Quotes are good for 30 days. A 50% deposit is required to hold equipment. Availability cannot be guaranteed without deposit. Terms are 50% down; 50% upon shipment. All sales are final. In-store credit only for any pre-approved returned merchandise. A 20% restocking fee is applied to all preapproved returned equipment. Purchase(s) may be subject to applicable sales and/or use taxes, being reported and paid by the purchaser. Seller assumes no liability for such taxes. Six months (6) parts and labor warranty on used items. One year (1) parts and labor manufacturer warranty on new items. NOTE: warranties include parts and labor only; shipping charges will apply. Any unauthorized service on equipment voids the warranty and is at the customer’s expense.
Normal lead time is six to eight weeks. Expedited service is available for an additional fee; consult with your sales representative.
Customers not ready to receive equipment within thirty days of the agreed upon delivery date will be required to pay the balance in full. Storage fees will apply sixty days beyond scheduled delivery date at the rate of 2.5% per month. Please note that if Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists is delivering and installing the equipment, a minimum of four weeks’ notice is required to schedule delivery and install.
Upon delivery, all shipments and equipment must be inspected before signing acceptance sheet. Be sure to note all damage, problems or concerns with packaging on the waybill BEFORE signing. Notes should include but not limited to: dirty, scratched, mishandled, cracked, box crushed, holes, etc. IMMEDIATELY open and use the equipment. Notify Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists, of any problems in order for a claim to be filed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the loss of claim and/or warranty.
This authorizes Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists to secure payment for your purchase through one of the following methods of payment: Bank wire transfer, ACH or credit card if payment is other than a company check. When a trade-in is involved, the buyer agrees to allow Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists to charge the credit card on file, or access funds through ACH for the value of the trade-in- IF the trade-in is not received at Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists within 30 days of equipment delivery or if it is not as represented to the Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists sales or purchasing representative.

In the unlikely event that your order needs to ship for installation and Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists has not been able to fulfil your entire order with the exact equipment as ordered, Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists can/may elect to send loaner equipment of equal or greater value to have your practice up/running and functional to use until we are able to fulfil with the exact equipment within a reasonable time. Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists would still expect final payment to be made in full at the time of delivery and with a “loaner agreement” provided to protect the buyer. All expenses incurred for delivery and/or pick up of loaner equipment will be the sole responsibility of Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists
All returned checks will result in a $45.00 Service fee.
